The Police To Release Deluxe ‘Synchronicity’ Box Set

The Police have announced they will release a deluxe box set of their fifth and final studio album, Synchronicity, on July 24th.

The box set, which will be released in celebration of the album’s 40th anniversary, albeit belated, will feature as many as 55 previously unreleased tracks, including Sting‘s original and never-heard demos for the album.

The set will also contain some new interviews and liner notes, rare archive memorabilia and unseen band photographs from the era.

The Police deluxe CD box set will also contain a live recording of a concert in Oakland, California, on September 10th, 1983. Sting, Andy Summers, and Stewart Copeland, assisted in assembling the package.

Besides the 6-disc Limited Edition Deluxe Boxset, the reissue will also be available as a four-LP vinyl set, a two-CD set, as a double album colored vinyl reissue, a single vinyl picture disc and as a digital box set, available on all digital service providers.

The band originally released Synchronicity on June 17th, 1983. The record spent 17 weeks atop the Billboard 200, and its lead single, “Every Breath You Take,” topped the Hot 100 for eight weeks. Consequence ranked it as one of the 100 greatest albums of all time in 2022.
