Alice in Chains Release the 30th Anniversary Jar of Flies Box Set
Hey, guess what? Alice in Chains just dropped the incredible 30th-anniversary deluxe box set for their iconic Jar of Flies album today! If you’ve been following their Instagram, you know they’ve been building up the excitement all week just for this moment! Let’s dive into the awesomeness!
Jar of Flies Awards:
Originally released on January 25, 1994, the acoustic-based EP debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, becoming the first EP to top the charts. Their first single, “No Excuses”, became a number-one single on the Mainstream Rock charts. The second single, “I Stay Away”, reached number ten on the Mainstream rock charts. And their third single “Don’t Follow”, reached number 25. Jar of Flies has been certified triple platinum by the RIAA,[10] with over 2 million copies sold in the United States during its first year. Jar of Flies received two Grammy nominations, Best Hard Rock Performance for “I Stay Away”, and Best Recording Package.
