Born Robert Allen Zimmerman in 1941, Dylan is an American singer-songwriter, author, and artist. He is one of the greatest figures of the 20th century who emerged from the Greenwich Village folk scene in the early 1960s. He was known for his powerful songwriting and ability to pen protest anthems and romantic love songs.
