Body Count Covers Pink Floyd’s Single “Comfortably Numb”

Ice-T‘s metal band Body Count has just released their eighth studio album Merciless. Promoting their new release on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Ice-T spoke to Fallon before playing the band’s version of Pink Floyd‘s “Comfortably Numb”.

Remarkably, Ice-T received approval from both David Gilmour and Roger Waters of Pink Floyd. Ice-T noted, that the former Pink Floyd members “haven’t agreed on anything in 20 years”. After the song’s publishers initially turned down the cover, pointing out that the band doesn’t allow samples or covers, Gilmour and Waters both signed off on the track. Body Count was honored again when Gilmour requested to play guitar on the song. See below:
