Jimmy Page Remembers The First Days Of Led Zeppelin

Legendary rock band Led Zeppelin star Jimmy Page, best known as the founder/guitarist of the band, has just added a new story on his classic “OnThisDay” series and took his fans back to 1969.

With a story he told, Jimmy Page remembered the Led Zeppelin‘s returns to San Francisco. Also, in the story, Jimmy Page touched on the band’s second studio album “Led Zeppelin II.”

While he talks about those days, Jimmy Page wrote: “On this day in 1969 marked @LedZeppelin’s return and first date back in San Francisco following the heady days in January of the same year.

“In four months, the band was now incorporating the new material in the set that would appear on ‘Led Zeppelin II’, being currently recorded in Los Angeles – for example, ‘The Lemon Song/Killing Floor’.⁣

“The idea of recording and capturing the fluent energy while being on the road was definitely working – especially after concerts like these.”

Also, in the comments of the post, while a fan named Guernicailoveu expressing Jimmy Page is a genius, he said: “Credit to you Jimmy for being involved in the entire process of the band which included you funding the entire first album with your own money and choosing all the band members and helping write and produce every album recorded by the band….a true genius and visionary in the music world!”

The second studio album of Led Zeppelin, “Led Zeppelin II,” has released on October 22nd, 1969.
