KISS’ ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You’ Surpasses 1 Billion Streams On Spotify

KISS‘ classic hit “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” has joined the Spotify Billions Club.
 

“I Was Made for Lovin’ You” was originally released on KISS’ 1979 album, Dynasty. It was released as the A-side of their first single from the album, with “Hard Times” as the B-side.

The single reached No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 in Canada. The song was a permanent staple in KISS’ live performances.

“I Was Made for Lovin’ You” was the band’s second Gold single, selling over 1 million copies. The single was certified Gold in the U.S. on August 16, 1979, and in Canada on August 1, 1979.

The Billions Club playlist launched in 2020 and includes songs on Spotify that have reached 1 billion streams on the service. The milestone has reportedly been achieved by at least 500 songs so far.

Other tracks in the club include Aerosmith‘s “Dream On”, Metallica‘s “Nothing Else Matters”, and Guns N’ Roses‘ “Paradise City.”
