The title track from heavy metal recording artists System of a Down‘s 2001 album Toxicity (American Recordings, Columbia Records) has surpassed 1 Billion Streams on Spotify and almost one billion on YouTube. This is System of a Down’s second track to surpass one billion on both platforms, following “Chop Suey!”.

System of a Down accomplished this feat despite the band having only done light touring in recent years, most recently playing Sick New World Festival twice, and a sold-out co-headline show in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, CA with Deftones. Serj Tankian (new solo EP) and Odadjian (Seven Hours After Violet) have new music out now and the future of System of A Down remains uncertain.
