The American heavy metal band Metallica lives the sadness of tragic loss of Ray Burton, the father of the band’s late bass player Cliff Burton. The legendary bassist’s father Ray Burton died on January 15, 2020 at the age of 94.

The tragic death was confirmed by the Cliff Burton’s sister Connie Burton. She announced their sad loss through her social media account and said, “To let you all know that my Dad died last Wednesday. Rest in peace Dad.”
